Destination Bride in Sitges, Spain

This April, I had the opportunity to travel to Sitges, Spain for one of my destination brides, Marga. It was my first time in Spain, and I absolutely fell in love with both Barcelona and Sitges, a small coastal town where the wedding and bridal getting ready took place.

Marga booked me for makeup and hair for herself and her closest people for both the welcome dinner and the wedding day. Her maid of honour was actually one of my past brides as well, so it truly felt like I was spending the weekend with my girlfriends. One of my favourite things about destination weddings is how intentional everything feels. Everyone has travelled to be there, so people are fully present, and this wedding was exactly like that.

The bridal suite overlooked the water, all the girls were getting ready together, and it was such a beautiful morning. For Marga’s makeup, she wanted something glowy, bronzy, and polished. She really leaned into my suggestions and trusted the vision wholeheartedly. For hair, we did soft brushed out waves with a bit of volume. What’s most important to me as your artist is that you still feel like yourself with your makeup and hair done, just elevated. She was so happy with everything and had no notes.

As a makeup artist, experiences like this always remind me how grateful I am for what I do. Makeup has taken me to some incredibly beautiful places, but more importantly, it has allowed me to be part of moments people will remember forever. Up next - Malaga in May!
